Canadian Blogger loves the Veeda difference
Today we are going to get a little serious and approach a different subject. Since most of my readers are women, I will be talking about us ladies stuff...to be more precise, the importance of educating ourselves about the feminine care that we use during that time of the month.
Through Veeda, I found out that conventional tampons and pads are made from blends of bleached cotton and/or synthetic products. They can contain dioxins from the bleaching process, pesticide and herbicide residues, synthetic chemicals, artificial fragrances and dyes. These actually expose us to higher risk of toxic shock syndrome (TSS), irritation, and allergic reactions. And we the consumer usually are not aware of this fact because only some brands disclose their ingredients and others don't because it's not required by law.
Now, wtf is going on with that? Don't women deserve to know what we are putting into or close to our body during menstruation?
I know I am not the only one who has experienced irritation and discomfort during menstruation. Despite me changing my pads numerous times and keeping everything clean, I still managed to get a slight rash which was the reason why I changed to solely using tampons for many years when I was in my 20s. The possibility that I might be allergic to the pads that I was using never crossed my mind.
It really shows how important it is for us to educate ourselves to what we are using on our body.
I have started using natural brands pads and panty liners since earlier this year but the price can be up there so it's a relief to know that Veeda price range is reasonable. I've so far tested the pads and panty liners and am more than happy to report that I did not experience any discomfort or irritation, there was no leakage and I find them to be breathable.
The goodness of Veeda doesn't just stop at offering some of the best feminine care products to women because they have also created the 360° Care Fund. Veeda donates a percentage of their sales and profits to give disadvantaged women and children around the world the best opportunity to live healthier, fuller lives by providing financial, material, educational, childcare, psychological, and moral support to those who need it most. They also donate their feminine care to those who can't afford it via Project Everywoman.
The good news is Veeda
