Green Smoothie with Ingredients

Happy St. Paddy’s Day All!

It is hard to celebrate this fun, cultural day while being cooped up inside your home, but now more than ever we need a burst of healthy foods, rich in nutrients that are not only great for our immune system but, when blended together, delivers a pretty festive green smoothie!

Ingredients for Smoothie on Marble Board

There are four SuperFood ingredients in this smoothie; Swiss Chard and spinach which bring a hefty source of folate, zinc, calcium, iron, magnesium, vitamin C and fiber. The other two SuperFoods are almonds and flaxseeds. These crunchy morsels are heart-healthy fats, also rich in fiber and are anti-inflammatory. They are known to have a protective effect against heart disease. Other veggies found in this smoothie with impressive stats are celery and carrots. They are both low in calories and fat but rich in vitamins and minerals!

Our  green super smoothie is rounded out with the sweetness of pineapple which is packed with Vitamins A, C, and K as well as calcium. A bit of ginger root, which, very importantly helps fight the flu and common cold. Topped off with Aloe juice, a liquid jam-packed with nutrients that help you stay hydrated, keeps your liver healthy, and skin clear.

Add all ingredients into a blender. Mix to form a smooth paste, 2-3 minutes. Pour Your smoothie into a jar and enjoy fresh.
